Review of free trojan remover::What is a good free virus remover
I was recently doing my paid to read email clicks, several pages at once gets me down in about 15 minutes with all the sites I belong to. One of the many things I learned doing paid to read, is to have a virus protector, firewall, and a spyware scanner. Bad sites are everywhere but they are more so in paid to read websites. While I was surfing my Internet Explorer started to get locked up, it wasn't long before my virus scanner asked me if I wanted to allow a.exe to run. I knew right away I was in trouble. Anything labeled h.exe or a.exe is either a virus, a Trojan, or spyware. I clicked no right away, then Winpatrol asked me if I wanted Spyware Guard 2008 to be added to my registry to auto start. I clicked "No" right away, and Winpatrol removed it. I thought I was safe, I avoided the a.exe running, and the Spyware Guard 2008 to my start up programs. I figured with my virus scanner running, and everything else surly I wasn't about to be infected with anything. Several minutes later... Spyware Guard 2008 was running. At first not really thinking I had thought it was Windows Update download of the spyware program I avoid at all costs. I tried thinking going to it's uninstall, and removing it. That worked for a bit, and it was back. I went to add and remove programs, quickly found Spyware Guard 2008 and clicked remove. That too worked, for a few minutes. You see, every time I removed it, it quickly reloaded itself, popping up with a look alike spyware scanner, that even the options couldn't be changed. Because there appeared to be no way to remove Spyware Guard, even following directions written on this page: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/malware-removal/remove-spyware-guard-2008 I quickly went into panic mode, especially since I discovered that Spyware Guard 2008 is Malware, and my virus protector didn't even remove it, or even block it. I had tried everything from removing it from the registry removing all the files off the hard drive nothing was working. No sooner had I manually removed the files, then they would come back. I thought I was going to have to format, and lose everything I hadn't backed up in months. This was what I was dreading. It's the holidays coming up, and I wasn't looking forward to spending a full day on the computer downloading Windows Updates, patches, patterns, and programs when I had gifts to wrap. With a help of a great friend, we discovered Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware located here: http://www.download.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html Once fully updated will completely remove Spyware Guard 2008. I had never heard of Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, but boy was I ever relieved. Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware is easy free easy to use program. It's much like any other spyware remover. You have the choice of clicking "Perform quick scan" or "Perform full scan". It's VERY important in order to remove Spyware Guard 2008 you update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware first. Don't let Spyware Guard 2008 ruin your holidays by causing you to have to format. Download the free Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware to remove it today. You won't regret it. But be sure you don't install it if you already have a scanner installed, it could conflict and you may have to end up formatting. |
