Review of free anti::what is a good free antivirus program
People obviously realize that the internet can be a dangerous place, and to help counter this threat we all, or at least I hope we all do, use anti-virus software to help protect our computers and identity. AVG, who is developed by Grisoft, has received more than one million downloads from CNET for their Free edition anti-virus software, all within one week. In fact, they are currently ranked number one for "Most Popular in Security." This software offers pretty good protection, but specifically allows users who don't want to pay a lot of money for anti-virus software to still be able to keep their computer virus-free (at least that is the goal). Another free anti-virus software that I am personally familiar with is called "Avast," and so far has received excellent reviews from both CNET (download.com) editors and end users. I know users who have said that Avast detected malware when Norton and McAfee didn't. So, if you are looking for a decent anti-virus software but don't have the money to pay for Norton or McAfee, then I think either one of these two free anti-virus programs will easily keep your computer, and ultimately your identity, protected. |
